Featuring 3 large vented outside pockets, padded kidney pad, waterproof lining and accessory loops for attaching additional gear. ALICE stands for All-Purpose Lightweight Individual Carrying Equipment system and was adopted by the United States Army in the 1960's to help soldiers carry large heavy packs.
These packs do not include the external metal frame that attaches the shoulder straps but you can either use the existing straps to attach your own, sew your own in, or just use this as a bag to carry and stow gear.
